Corrections and reporting a problem.

The Ground Truth is built automatically from public sources, so some mistakes are certain: a wrong figure, a story filed under the wrong topic, a company page missing something it should have. When we find or are told about one, we fix it and record it below. How the data is made is in the methodology.

Report a problem

You are reporting a problem on /jobs/YXNoYnk6b3BlbmFpOjdiYTBiMzkwLWIxOTgtNDEwMS04MGJiLWI0OWE2ZGQ2MjYwNw. Tell us which page, what is wrong and what it should say. A link to a source helps most. We read every report, and we correct the record here when a report turns out to be right.

What we have corrected

15 October 2026 · Company pages and the funding page

What was wrong. Funding rounds announced before September 2026 did not appear anywhere, so company pages for OpenAI and Anthropic said no rounds had been reported. Their rounds were in our records but had never been checked for relevance, and a round with no check is hidden.

What changed. Every round is now checked whatever its age, and rounds of up to $150B are accepted for companies we recognise. The funding timeline notes that collection widened in September, so earlier months are incomplete.

15 October 2026 · News, Confirmed and search

What was wrong. An article that reached us through two feeds of the same outlet (for example Guardian AI and Guardian Technology) was shown twice and counted as reported by two outlets.

What changed. A URL is now stored once, outlets with several feeds count as one, and 172 existing duplicates were removed.

13 October 2026 · Funding totals

What was wrong. The headline funding total added amounts that one outlet had reported once with no round stated, which overstated what had been confirmed.

What changed. Totals now count only confirmed rounds (a stated round, or two or more outlets). The rest are listed separately and the page says how many there are.
